The Energetic Heart is Unfolding

I wanted to share one of my favorite subjects with you. We all have this amazing human heart, the organ that pumps life-giving oxygenated and nutrient-rich

The Energetic Heart ebook blood throughout our bodies on a precise schedule. Now, we are learning that this marvelous machine — the size of a fist and weighing on average less than 10 ounces — also possesses a level of intelligence that we are only beginning to understand. Evidence shows that our heart plays a greater role in our mental and emotional processes, as well as physical, than previously thought by scientists.

“The heart is a sensory organ and acts as a sophisticated information encoding and processing center that enables it to learn, remember and make independent functional decisions,” Institute of HeartMath (IHM) Director of Research Rollin McCraty wrote in the paper, “The Energetic Heart: Bioelectromagnetic Communication Within and Between People.”

Scientists at IHM have been conducting research for more than two decades on the heart that has shed light on what researchers now characterize as the “energetic heart.”

Power of the Heart’s Electromagnetic Field

The heart, like the brain, generates a powerful electromagnetic field. McCraty explains, “The heart generates the largest electromagnetic field in the body. The heart’s electrical field is about 50 to 60 times greater in amplitude than the electrical field of brainwaves, and the heart’s magnetic field is about 5,000 times stronger.”

HeartMath studies show this powerful electromagnetic field can be detected and measured several feet away from a person’s body as well as between two individuals in close proximity.

Energetic Field In the HeartMath study, “The Electricity of Touch: Detection and Measurement of Cardiac Energy Exchange Between People,” researchers set out to determine whether in one individual the heart’s electromagnetic field, as measured by an electrocardiogram (ECG), could be detected and measured in another person when the pair either were seated about three feet away from each other or held hands.

Emotions give meaning to our lives.  The power of emotion can enrich our lives beyond measure – meaning, color, texture.  Understanding the power of your emotions is vital for having a fulfilling, healthy life.  Click to receive this Free e-booklet, The Power of Emotion.

One thing I enjoy about the electricity in the heart is that it instantly dances to the beat of audible music regardless of heart rate or level of mental focus. This means that if 10,000 people are listening to the same song on the radio, all of their electromagnetic fields are dancing in unison. When HeartMath's Global Coherence Initiative adds an interactive biofeedback component to it's Global Care Room, it will be the beginning of a magnificent transformation of human civilization.

Read about this some months ago, interesting.

We really know so little about organic electromagnetic fields.

Very interesting work they are doing. Very interesting information in this post, thank you. The good book says, "Guard your Heart for out of it issue springs of living water." Water so often is symbolic of Life.

Brilliant work :-)

Think of it. When you hug someone, it's heart to heart. Feels good, right? Lay your head on your man's chest and listen to his heart. Soothing sound will put you to sleep. When someone loses a loved one, do you ever say "my heart goes out to you". I have often said this. A lot to be said on this article. Thanks for sharing.

From working long hospital shifts and pregnancy, I got a few spider veins and varicosities. venorid …

Smell the roses when you can!

Good reminders, thanks.

We grill all summer long, way too hot this summer for any cooking indoors.

Love the ears. Can't believe how much food his cheeks hold! Thanks.
