Discover Your Fierce Radiance with Tiger

Discover Your Fierce Radiance with Tiger

Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
–William Blake

The magnificent female Tiger blazes with fierce radiance. Her gorgeous fiery colors, grace, and fearless strength combined with her capacity to protect, nurture, and teach her young, make Tiger the perfect ally for any woman who wishes to embody an empowered kind of femininity.

This meditation with Tiger can help you explore areas in your life that call forth your own fierce radiance. And as we honor the beauty of Tiger, we can adopt one or give the gift of adoption as a holiday gift, as a way of protecting these magnificent animals. Learn how you can discover your own fierce radiance with this Tiger meditation, here:

Find a time and place where you will not be disturbed. Now imagine that you are walking barefoot on a path in a sunlit jungle with leaves thick and green all around you. You are walking on a tiger path, and you have come here to meet with Tiger and to learn how your fierceness is needed in the world. As you walk, notice how this path–smoothed by the feet of many, many tigers–feels under your own bare feet. As you walk, you begin to feel the fluid grace and strength of Tiger flowing into your own muscles and bones. You walk easily, gracefully, alert and aware of all the sounds around you: birds calling, the rustling of leaves.

Ahead of you now, you can see a clearing in the dense greenery, a clearing that is filled with blazing golden light. As you approach, you realize that the light is radiating from a magnificent Tiger standing in the center of the clearing. This Tiger has something to tell or teach you.

You stand in front of the Tiger and meet her eyes. She breathes on you, and invites you to take a moment now to think of anything in your life that demands your own fierceness. Is there a situation or cause that you need to approach with fiery determination? Where in your life could you shine more brightly, stand more fearlessly?

Tiger breathes on you again, filling you with her own fierce and beautiful light. You can feel yourself filling up with Tiger energy, Tiger light. When you are ready, thank Tiger for her help. Then, keeping the feeling of this radiant Tiger energy in your heart, turn and walk back through the clearing to the path, back through the jungle, back to ordinary reality.
