Tiger sharks are known for eating all kinds of weird stuff — some of what’s been recorded includes “a roll of tar paper, a tom-tom, a chicken coop, and unexploded munitions.” Yeesh! But what about tiger sharks with more discerning taste? Well, for them, we have incredibly expensive camera gear left unattended on the ocean floor by divers.
You’d think, out of all the places you might be able to set your camera gear down without concern of someone taking off with it, it’d be the ocean floor. Well, this shark proves not so. Divers be warned, it’s not your limbs you should worry about, not at all. It’s your rig.
The diver, Shark Expert Jim Abernethy, did manage to retrieve his camera, and with more memories attached to it than just what’s in the CF card.
