Here are more heartwarming interspecies friendships, and even love, following on from our popular video collections: True Love: No Matter Who You Are; True Love 2: More Animal Friends; and True Love 3: Wild Animal Friends.
Our loving friends here include a dog and polar bears below, a cat and a turtle on page 2, and a dog, rabbit, and guinea pig on page 3.
Do you suppose we can learn something about getting along with our own species from these examples?
Polar Bears Love Dogs
This is a pretty amazing story. It’s not as if the polar bears and dogs grew up together. But when the domesticated dogs are allowed to go visit the wild polar bears they receive a very warm welcome; not only playing but hugging as well.
How do you account for this affection?
On the next page see how hard a turtle tries to be friends with a cat, and what happens.

The Cat and the Turtle
This one is a little one sided. The turtle is begging for affection; the cat has other things on his mind. The turtle keeps trying and finally the cat deigns to recognize him and give him a lick or two. They do seem to really be friends.
A cat is part of the family in page 3, but the real friends are a pit bull, rabbit, and guinea pig.

A Pit Bull, a Rabbit, a Guinea Pig…and a Cat
This is really a threesome: Sharkey, the pit bull, plus Arthur the rabbit and a guinea pig who all love each other. Sharkey cuddles and licks his two little friends. Max the cat is part of the family too, but he seems to be off on his own trip. You know how cats can be.
