Vegan Lifestyle Fights Global Warming (video)

Vegan Lifestyle Fights Global Warming (video)

The biggest contribution we can make to fight global warming is to eat less meat and dairy products.

Here are some facts from a 2006 United Nations Report:

  • The U.S. population is about 300 million but 10 billion land animals are slaughtered every year.
  • U.S. farms produce 5 million tons of manure every day.
  • Resources are wasted all along the way; pollution affects the soil, air, water, us.
  • Livestock are responsible for a fifth of global warming emissions—more than the entire world’s transportation combined.
  • 35 percent of the grain grown in America goes for livestock.
  • When the Amazon rain forests are cut down, 70 percent of the land is used for pasture and grain production.

That's a great video! Unfortunately the people who will actually see it are probably the ones who are already committed to making a difference. It most likely will never reach the uneducated poor people shopping at Walmart... Then there are the people who just don't care...and why is that? I cannot comprehend...

some people become vegetarians for health, others for the environment, and others do it for the ethics. I find personally that if you do it for the ethics (KNOWing the suffering that YOU incur on other creatures for a tasty bite of their flesh/excretions/egg), it is much easier to swear off of it altogether. Some simple data to help you transit to vegan diet. all dairy are poisonous for the body. only calves are meant to drink his mom's milk. when we drink it, it clogs our system- athsma, diabetes, rhumatoid arthritis, allergies and the big whammer- OSTEOPEROSIS! you drink milk and your body has to rob calcium from your own bones to process the milk. Eggs are life carriers- fertilized or not. negative spirits are attracted to eggs because they want to be reborn. you eat eggs and you are more likely to attract negative spirits- fear and anxiety are part of the results of eating even eggs/ dairy. Bravo in going veg...this last step won't be diffiuclt...many vegan sites offer delicious alternatives that will keep your tummy happy and leave the cows/chickens alone. thank you and keep up the good work!

I'm only a year lvegetarian. very easily and sharply declined from the meat. but from the milk cheese eggs can not. although I know that animals are contained in the hellish conditions. and I am sad that many do not understand this cruelty. and I'm sorry that 18 years of my life I ate the animals, so my children will be vegetarian. because it is useful for human health, animal welfare and our planet

I've always known this about the vegan lifestyle. I do encourage it, but find it really hard to stick to sometimes
