The universe is alive and wants to live and breathe through you. To find out the truth of this, you need to relate to the universe as if it were alive. Otherwise, how will you ever know that it is? Today, begin to adopt the following habits:

  • Talk to the universe.
  • Listen for its reply.
  • Be on intimate terms with nature.
  • See the life in everything.
  • Carry yourself like a child of the universe.

Thank you Mr. Chopra. One simple way I relate to the universe being alive is remebering that even broccoli has a nervous system that allows for it to feel.

I love this to be able to connect to you and that something brought me here. I am from a large family they don't understand me or where I'm coming from I would have to be Oprah then they would make alot more sense to them. Anyone interest in starting a yahoo group to keep intouch.

Roger Miskin

Rather than putting our attention on attaining oneness with other people and/or the universe, could it be that we already are one but we just haven't realised it (or perhaps our thoughts of unworthiness have prevented us from realising it?)

What works for me is I try to keep a mental structure in mind that accommodates all the bits of intuitively believable information that I have come across, (some of it somewhat weird and difficult to make sense of), ideally with no bits inconveniently left over.

Bits from quantum physics, belief systems, ancient cultures, archaeological discoveries personal experience and so on lead me to the conclusion that we are incredibly powerful way, way beyond anything we could imagine.

It seems that each of us would do well to take the bits of information and/or experiences they have come across and try the same exercise for themselves - it's very instructive.

It seems the more you get to know, the more you realise there is to find out-(remember?) about. There seems to be no end to it. And there we are whizzing round in our hampster-wheel.

I simply love the last solution: carry yourself like a child of the universe...who of course we are....how lovely.

Deepack is right. Live it, breathe it, feel it.
let's practice...

This is true. We don't see it because we've been trained/taught not to. Practice helps restore sight. As they say, talk to your plants as you water them, Feel it. Negative thoughts, hate, me-first, etc. all lead to blindness and separation. We have become too successful at that.

try again. I wonder how many of you have read "Desiderata"?Maybe Annie doesn't want you to.

I wonder how many of you have read "Desiderata"? It is worth the time and you can even make sense
of what it says.

Dear Litha,
Do not be so hard on yourself.Throughout my spiritual journey my desire to follow it has ebbed and flowed. This too is part of nature. We are learning and we need time to rest and digest that which we have learned and experienced. The important part is that you have experienced it. Once you have tasted it you will return. It is inevitable as it is your search for yourself. When you are ready try again. It has taken me sixty years to come to the understanding that I have now and I wouldn't trade it for anything.Perhaps you were born to be a teacher? Sounds to me as though you might be and for that reason have more internal insight than those around you. Do not throw that away. Use it to help them understand....mostly by living it, not ever by preaching it. Good luck.

Jason Di Palma

I would like to hear more from you about why you feel the way you do. Why after church last night did you have these feelings? Sounds to me as though you are about to enter the right path but are just not quite there yet. Keep asking questions and meditate to hear the answers. As Dr. Chopra would say, watch for the coincidence in life and ask why is this coincidence happening to me? I wish you much success and peace in your journey.
