amazing
thanks. i once came across purple rice - although there wasn´t much difference in taste, it was somehow weird to eat rice of that color: funny how you think that your limited experience (e.g. white rice) represents the state of art (how things are normally).
Nie wszystkie znam, ale kalarepę uwielbiam, zwłaszcza na surowo.
Delightful, just love veggies and have read about all of these. I also love fiddleheads, so very tasty along with many of the more exotic ones here. The Romanesco would make any Klingon Warrior proud as it looks formidable. Always enjoy tasting exotic foods from around the world, such a variety.
Thank you for the interesting list. However, fiddleheads are quite standard in Korean diets. Koreans have quite a number of vegetables in their diets that are "unusual" by western standards. Fiddleheads sauteed in sesame oil and garlic are a regular staple in my household, along with Burdock, sauteed Lotus Root, and a huge variety of radishes, cabbages, mushrooms, etc. that are only available at the local Korean market. The role of meat in the Korean diet has been inflated by western influences, and the amount of meat served in Korean restaurants here in the US is just insane. In no way does this reflect on the typical/traditional Korean diet.
WOW. I only knew about the kohlrabi. This was fun!
I love fractal broccoli!
noted, thank you
Very interesting. I may have to look for some of these. I wish you could have them listed on one page though...
