i was misdiagnosed high blood pressure with asthma nearly 10 years ago! stupid idiots! i told them there was no way i was asthmatic as the symptoms weren't anything like traditional asthma symptoms and the pains in my chest were constant. eventually, i went to the hospital and did a peak flow test and then had a nebuliser and some sort of medication with it and then repeated the test. there was no change.
so eventually they agreed with me that it wasn't asthma and gave me a bp monitor for a week. needless to say, after that week, i was told to see cardiology IMMEDIATELY! i was finally diagnosed with extremely high bp for my age-very early 20s-and my bp has been monitored ever since. i've had all sorts of medications, different doses etc.
around 3 years ago, a new symptom started showing itself, where my pulse was extremely high-a resting pulse of 99-105 bpm. through changing my medication [again] and playing with the doses, we think it is under control. for the time being!
OK
good to know

As somebody that lives with high blood pressure, it's often times worrisome and no fun let me tell you.
