Depression does not kill sexual desire and motivation. Depression kills ALL desire and motivation. Lowered libido is a side effect of depression, but so is lowered concentration, racing thoughts, dwelling on issues, lowered self esteem, lowered self image, etc.

One must work to raise awareness that depression, although a serious disease, is just that, a disease. It can be treated like diabetes and people can live normal lives without suffering or stigmas.

I am into self discovery on an ongoing basis. I'm fortunate to have found my voice in poetry. The more I write...that much more is lifted off my shoulders. Self healing through the written words of a poet is so much better than medicating and being stuck in slow or off mode.
