One in nine women develop breast cancer. Give your Mom (or yourself,
if you are a woman), the gift of some breast health tea! The breasts
have a high concentration of lymphatic tissue and glands. For the
health of the body and the health of the breasts, it is important
to keep the lymph system flowing freely.

This mineral-rich tea, formulated by one of the world’s great
herbalists, nourishes the blood and encourages healthy lymphatic
flow. The herbs for this recipe are sold by the ounce at most
health food stores.

BREAST HEALTH TEA
2 parts calendula
2 parts red clover
1 part cleavers
1 part lady’s mantle
Spearmint or peppermint (optional; for flavor)

Prepare as an infusion, following the instructions on page 380, using 1 ounce of herbs per quart of water, and letting steep overnight. Drink 3 to 4 cups daily.
