Wonderful...
I often hear people say: "I wish I could do yoga but I'm not that flexible".... Folks, you start practicing yoga to GET flexible, so no matter what condition you're in, Yoga is a process that starts with you and only you dictate how far you want push your body gently, then day after day you build your flexibility at your own pace.
I began doing yoga at 36, I was recovering from a devastating car accident that almost left me crippled.. I was frustrated with the slow progress of many months in Physical Therapy fearing I would never be the same. I cried myself to sleep ever night thinking " I am too young to be a cripple" ... Soooo, I decided to take matters in my own hands. I began yoga classes, gently doing whatever I could, despite barely being able to turn my head or raise my arm with out pain. The breathing, relaxation and concentration aspects of Yoga is what helped my body ease into gradually moving better without pain. The best part I learned was I could take these techniques out into the world and breathe and relax as I went through my day so that I could function with simple tasks like getting dressed. Today, I've fully recovered and do advanced yoga poses.
Wow, good for her.
I'm 51 and can barely bend. I wish I was more like her. She is amazing.
it's good for her that she still can do it! once you start yoga, your whole aspect on life changes, from your diet, to how you see and tackle life's problems. and she proves that you can never be too told to exercise or start something new, considering where she teaches! i hope she lives a long, healthy and happy life!
Good for her!!
I guess I'll start yoga
