Young Penguin Swam 2,000 Miles (Videos)

A young Emperor penguin accidentally swam all the way to New Zealand from Antarctica. It was cared for in New Zealand and is scheduled to be returned there when possible. Vets flushed sand and driftwood from its digestive tract to help it stay alive.

At least we know he's an awesome swimmer, but hopefully once he returns home he stays there. It's awesome that there are people in NZ that have helped him, but in many parts of the world he wouldn't have been as lucky. Thank you to those who decided to take in the little guy and help him survive!
