The hearing is scheduled for Aug. 31, the day before Idaho wolf hunting is to start. Attorneys for Earthjustice, the group representing the 13 groups challenging the hunt and the federal government, will get three hours to make their cases in court.

Contact your U.S. representative and ask him/her to co-sponsor the Compound 1080 and M-44 Elimination Act, H.R. 4775. 20 representatives are needed. Compound 1080, a toxic poison, was outlawed in 1972 but was legalized by the EPA in the mid-80's.

Rep George Miller has introduced the PAW Act: Protect America's Wildlife. If passed it may curb Alaska's extinction of wolves, specifically aerial hunting. It may keep similar policy from coming to Yellowstone. Please inform your reps you support PAW.
