The government of Costa Rica & the new leftwing government of El Salvador have both pledged to restore diplomatic relations with Cuba. This leaves the US as the only country in the Americas without normal diplomatic relations with Cuba, plus a blockade.

The reason I call it ironic? 11 of the 20 9/11 hijackers were Saudi nationals. And Bush talks about fighting terrorism and pretends to be concerned about our safety? This is worse than irony...it's obscene.
