Studies have shown a massive decline in butterflies in the UK as the climate warms. Some species have been able to fly north but many are unable to make the journey because of distance or human development and are in danger of dying out.

The picture appears to be that of a moth rather than a butterfly.

No, it's a butterfly. Most moths have feathery antenna and mostly fly at night, while butterflies have knobby antenna and fly mostly in daytime. But the same ideas apply to both groups of insects, since they are so simular.
