In a bid to combat noise pollution, unsanitary conditions and, most important, the continuing scourge of cockfighting, the Los Angeles City Council voted unanimously today to limit the number of roosters that can be owned by a single household to one.

Well at least they have decreed them terrorists. Early morning cock crowing is one thing but when it extends all day in can get a little annoying but I'm not sure how this measure will impinge on determined criminals who want to cock fight. It will encourage devoicing and hiding the birds in probably worse conditions than they are already in!

Cock fighting must be prevented by whatever means necessary. Thank you, Cher.

I hope this helps end cockfighting....as for noise and unsanitary I have been living around chickens for over 8 years and have never caught any disease or illnes from them!! They are easy to clean up after and they provide great fertilizer for the garden. As far as noise I guess that is a personal thing. I love their crowing!!!

The sanitary reason is a little bit stretched but I'm all for taking down Cockfighting.
