Signed the petition and am emailing the people listed above. Holy heck, weren't there any humans in charge or even on the premises?????
This is so completely criminal and abusive that I'm uncharacteristically at a loss for words. This is not about people who are merely cruel or only brutal. This is about the people who are hired and paid to be rescuers but who sentence animals to death by cruel starvation, by slow and brutal starvation and neglect. It's not clear to me who could do this, who could watch this happen, who could leave dogs to die so slowly over time and in such pain and agony. I do know that the people who were paid to care for these animals must do time in prison for this intentional neglect of those for whom they were paid to be responsible. Good grief, could any human being ever even do this? Apparently so, and it's beyond tragic or overwhelming - it's barbaric and brutal and vicious and revolting.
