The U.S. Forest Service worker had watched helplessly as a frenzied, massive forest fire turned toward the trailer where he lived with Smoky, a 6-month-old mutt, 20 other dogs and a rabbit named Bernie.

God Bless Mr. Wright for all he does for the animals. A real sad story of pet loss. Thank God for the return of Smoky. Must of been so heart wrenching for him not to be able to save his pets. I hope this was not a deliberate fire.

Thank goodness he went back to his cabin. It's wonderful that some of the animals survived, but tragic some did not.
