The death of an Ontario man has, once again, raised the issue of regulations preventing the keeping of dangerous exotic animals. Or, at least, the licensing of them

Why!? Just because they have to show off and think that if you raise the animal the instinct which is wild would be inexistent, then they kill the animal.

A good question and great article. I particularly liked the last three points made. Thanks Cher.

People own exotic pets to display wealth or to garner attention.

I believe it is because humans want anything that is different or exotic. the more tabboo or unconventional it is the more humans seem to want it.

They have them to be different from others. Actually these animals are happier out in the wild where they belong

Noted, thanks you. Wild animals seldom have the space or habitat they need when kept as pets, and we all know they can seldom really BE "pets".

This is sad. Wild animals are just that. Wild. People should NEVER have them caged or at their homes. Stupid Humans!
