Noted and signed. I don't like the military base in Okinawa, either. But just one thing. There AREN'T many places instead of Futenma. Any other places in and around Okinawa, in Japan, are not for US military base. It is same with any place. It will destruct environment, both for wild animals and people living there. Unless we change the US-Japan relations completely, there's no real solution.

The IUCN classification for Dugongs is "vulnerable" - that is two steps better than "critically endangered".
Get your facts right if you want people to take you seriously - conservation is too important for such sloppiness.

And have you considered why there is a perceived need for this new base ? If Japanese authorities asked the US to stay on the bases it currently uses I don't think building a new one would even be considered.
