Translation....

Not even a day after these photos published worldwide and we have started our campaign, Lufthansa said a new policy that prohibits the transportation of dogs and cats to laboratories.
Now we call on Lufthansa to extend this policy to all animals.

PETA Germany eV There are shocking photos that are running at least 50 loaded into transport boxes crammed Beagles as cargo in a cargo aircraft in the Lufthansa. The dogs were from Marshall Farms, a breeder in upstate New York to a research laboratory of the Charles River Research Laboratories (CRL) and transported to Scotland.

The Charles River Research Laboratories are among the world's largest laboratory animal breeders. The company has offices and test laboratories in many countries and is responsible for the suffering of millions and millions of animals locked up in the Charles River Laboratories, and in which his clients, poisoned, being mutilated and killed. Since 2007 the company was reported for more than 24 violations of the Animal Welfare Act. Recently, the Charles River Research Laboratories were sentenced to a fine of $ 14,000, after a laboratory in the company in Reno in the state of Nevada 32 monkeys to death, literally "fried" are turned out as a thermostat. The attending staff ignored the alarm system drew attention to the dying monkeys. In another case, the company responsible for the death of a monkey by scalding. The animal was locked in a cage and was not removed when the cage was introduced into an automatic cage washer.

In recent experiments the dogs from Marshall Farms plant breeding, the spinal cord was severed and cut open in another series of experiments for the abdominal surgical staples. After the experiments, the dogs were killed. Since 2007 the company was reported for more than 20 violations of the Animal Welfare Act.

With the transport of animals for animal testing in research laboratories supports the mission of Lufthansa the atrocities to which these animals are exposed in the laboratory - and scored from the torments of the animals even more profits! With the appalling transport conditions suffered by the unfortunate animals on their way to their horrible death, Lufthansa contributes directly to the unspeakable suffering of the animals.

You can help

Please send an e-mail to Jens Bischof, Lufthansa's vice president, North America, and Wolfgang Mayrhuber and demand on them to follow the compassionate example of other large airlines like Cathay Pacific and Qantas and transport of animals destined for animal testing company-set.

Thank you for your reminder that we have to keep up pressure to companies like Luthansa to abolish shipment of ALL animals to cruel laboratory experiments. The start that they made in helping dogs and cats is a step in the right direction. As well we need to find ways to end all animal tests and experiments. They are needless and cruel, and there is no excuse as even supposedly benevolent charities like the Cancer Society use animal tests when they could use other forms of research. Companies like the Charles River Research Laboratories are simply disgusting, and a mere $14,000 fine is not a deterrent. I encourage all animal lovers to keep fighting for animals as advocates as they cannot speak for themselves.

As well as we need to find ways to put an end to all the tests and animal experiments. They are unnecessary and cruel, and there is no excuse, even good people are supposed to charities such as Cancer Society, the use of animal tests can be used when other forms of research. The company responsible for the death of a monkey of scalding.
