Hmmm... I would wonder whether there is no better solution than poisoning these cats ... what happens in the process, do the toxins cause excruciating pain and slow death? could they create a wild-like safe habitat for the parrots??

Feral cats? Trap neuter release is one method. I understand that this endangered parrot is important and cats are abundant pretty much everywhere, but we can't just kill to save...that doesn't make sense!

Eradicat is also known in the US as the dreaded Compound 1080, which kills wildlife and pets horribly.

Terrible !!! It has to be a slow and painful death.
Morons with no compassion!
I know that feral cats are a huge threat to Australia's wildlife,
but I can not agree with this!

This is a sad situation, where strong measures may be necessary to save a species. I think that it serves to highlight the importance of good biosafety measures, and the need for great care before introducing new species into an environment.
