Signed, but of course this is something that continues in far too maany countries. If we used our might correctly we could educate people, slowly creating new ways of thinking. Instead we invade and conquer!

Wow I honestly can't believe people still do this as if we're in the hunters and gathers era...people have to realize we're in the 21st century and they have to be more cleaver with waht they do....if they want to punish someone that is fine but they shouldnt do it by stoning there are mnay other ways of punishing someone butnot by killing/hurting someone

signed and I hope that this type of thing has been stopped already! This is just a ploy to keep them controlled by men in their communities. I won't stand for this barbaric sort of thing being practiced forever? Never will I condone the bad treatment of women or children in any Community EVER!

NOTED & SIGNED. Any of us whose own or dear ones' lives have been harmed by gossip and/or a mean-spirited spouse can well imagine how EASY it would be suddenly to become "guilty of adultery" under Sharia law. MISOGYNY RULES UNDER SHARIA LAW.

If this law came into effect and really helped prevent the weak and vulnerable, like that 13-year old girl who was raped and stoned to death, then that would be really good. How can you blame the victim and let criminals go unpunished?

Some of you know I just spent almost a month in Kenya. I wish you could see the EXTREMELY WEALTHY compounds which have been built in exclusive areas of Nairobi. When I asked who has that much money--I was told they are the properties of people who receive profits from Somali pirates.

Somalia is a PIT of lawlessness and religious fundamentalism. I saw Somali refugees in the northeastern part of Kenya...beautiful people with haunted faces....

Good luck to the effort behind this petition--I won't hold my breath!

We just HAVE to do our best to make changes here and never to give up, however despondent we sometimes feel! These sort of issues are beyond comprehension. The cruelty is beyond imagination. we must remember that at one time, Christians used to put their children to death, if they defied their parents and many other absolutely BARBARIC things too! Even so, eventually we became more civilized and changed OUR religious beliefs, so let's go on hoping and praying that this happens to these people who have got it so terribly and so heart-breakingly WRONG!
