Verizon, VERIZON, could perhaps have prevented this beautiful young woman's death; but they chose not to cooperate with police. Please remember when it's time to replace your cell. Signed

Signed and noted Cher, I was appalled to learn this law is needed, and that it might have saved this young woman's life if it had been. I'm also appalled Verizon did not immediately go to the great lengths they could have easily afforded to take in response to the emergency.

Noted, signed and tweeted. Shame on Verizon for hiding behind policy to keep from helping the police save this young woman. No wonder we need the law with cowardly companies like that! Thank you Cher!

Noted and signed . I echo Gregory's comments! Emergency and potentially life saving information should be available to an authority such as the police immediately!

Noted with sadness. I saw another case of a lady and her family who were abducted and killed after she went to the bank and asked the teller to call 911, The police did respond and were outside her home but the brutal killings were not prevented. The case was in 2007 and is still not through the justice system. We have to keep making life safe for women and stop violence against women.

I cannot sign because it is for Americans only. I am disgusted by this case and with the fact that phone companies can do that and get away with it!

Sadly Signed...This bill's been Introduced but Congress as of today has been sleeping on it going on a year.Strange how they listen when Verizon wants to take away your rights, (Net Neutrality Bill) with their 14 million in Lobbying, but something as important as this sits like a stone at the bottom of the Ocean...

signed, but it should have been passed a year ago. Actually, there should not have been a need for this law at all. Verizon should just have automatically done the right thing . They could have helped, and chose not to. Well, at least it will make it easier for me should I have to choose a phone company. Or anything else Verizon sells.

signed. i am disappointed in Verizon for being so priggish and not releasing the needed information during an ongoing abduction investigation. As far as I am concerned VERIZON played a part in her death. Shame on them for not doing the right thing first.

That a law is required for something as basic as the disclosure, to a police department, of telephone records shows up the need for a complete examination of your legal system.
The telephone company involved are culpable in this young woman's death due to possible indifference from the management employed by them, probably hiding behind privacy laws.
