Kidnapping 6 young WWF-India volunteers that were carrying out valuable census work at Manas National Park will not help the militants cause. Hopefully sense will prevail and the youngsters will soon be released to carry on their excellent work in helping to create an accurate picture of animal numbers in this most beautiful park.

We stand up for the animals, and people who are so hateful want to stop the people who care so much for the animals. It's so sad it has to be this way.

Prayers rising for the immediate safe release of Saiyad Naushad Jaman, Pranjit Kumar Saikia, Tarali Goswami, Gautam Kishore Sharma, Srabana Goswami and Pallabi Chakraborty the WWF volunteers kidnapped. How shameful that their safety within the National Park could not be guaranteed!
Thank you Cher for posting and welcome back... your passion is needed here!

What on earth do these militants want? Whats the point? I am so angry with those militants I'd be useless at negotiating with them, but someone has to do it. Set the young people free and save the tigers without angering these thug bullies. I send my best thoughts to those with that job.

What possible good would kidnapping these people do? Talk about taking action without engaging brain, here's a perfect example.

This is unreal. I do not mean to sound naive but could it actually be motivated by the tiger conservation movement and the threat to poachers, or is it more likely that it is unrelated and the militants just want ANY victim for their ultimate ransom-whatever it is? Un f*&king believable.. I will pray for them. Thank you for posting this.
