A Picture Speaks a Thousand Words

A dying man holding his best friend. He lived homeless in Iowa with his dog in a car. When he became terminally ill and placed in hospice, his only request was to hold his dog one last time before passing on. Two souls quietly saying their goodbyes.

I have a lump in my throat . . . so wonderful that the man and his dog were able to be together while the man's soul slipped away.

I am profoundly glad to read that this dog has been adopted by kindhearted, caring humans!

Thanks Cher.
The paramedic that helped Kevin McClain is also a volunteer in the loal animals shelter and saw that Yurtie was taken care of. The ambulance company and shelter made sure Mr McClain had the visit with his beloved pup. Yurt's new owners said "She is full of energy and just brings so much love and energy into the home”.
Sad story, but with a happy ending.

I feel the sadness both of them are going through. Animals do have feelings too just like us humans....
