Right now, grizzly bears of Bristol Bay, Alaska are at risk from the toxic pollution of hard rock mining. The Pebble copper and gold mine, proposed for the pure headwaters of Bristol Bay, would produce billions of tons of toxic mine waste

Signed and hoping. Unfortunately, when it comes to the big business of mining, logging, and ranching, the money seems to win. Too many guys in Washington, DC, are in the deep pockets of corporate America. Most of the guys who vote against wildlife and the environment together aren't worth one grizzy bear!

Would like to sign but as I do not reside in the US I am unable to do so. So very sad that big business usually always takes precedence over environmental issues. In my view the wilderness should be left inviolate and wildlife left to live in peace.

Noted. For consideration: if the mines are producing sufficient toxic pollution to poison grizzlies, then there is a high probability that many fish species living downstream are contaminated. Alaska salmon, anyone?

We humans are supposed to be the intelligent ones? So NOT! with us USA citizens allowing the utter destruction of EVERYTHING and the stupidly ASSuMING there are no ramifications to this is truly playing the stupid card! We allow the Christian WRONG to dictate what to do with our wombs, yet not challenging them with the reality of OVERPOPULATION and the reality of families here in the USA going HUNGRY! it may seem as if I am off topic, no am not. We must STOP frucking/fracking of our BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY at all levels! The fucorporations do NOT care about the destruction of ANYTHING OR ANYONE as long as they get their money, they neither look at the long term damage to our future or to us!

Isaac Bashevis Singer Nobel Peace Prize Winner wrote in his book, 'Enemies a love story', "As often has Herman had witnessed the slaughter of animals and fish, he always had the same thought. In their behaviour toward creatures, all men were Nazi’s. The smugness with which man could do with other species as he pleased exemplify the most extreme racist theories the principle that might is right. Lest we forget!
