Logging wilderness, and building roads through wilderness, has to stop soon. Too many species are endangered. Fundamentally I think that the world needs a more sustainable economy, to protect nature. I like the ideas of CASSE at http://steadystate.org to achieve this. I encourage everyone to consider signing the position statement at that site.

Keep the wolves; replace the lumber operation with cut-and-plant repeating harvest lumber farms elsewhere. Close most of the roads in the archipelago area and allow only camera tourists and vaccination hunters in the area, something the wolves should be able to thrive with.
