TY Cher. Our household is down to about 3,106 lbs/yr. of CO2emissions/yr. We are getting close to the worldwide goal and plan to go lower. The average American household is at about 65,250lbs/yr [which is scary].
Keep an eye on CO2: http://co2now.org/

We live on a boat in the UK (well, in the summer months anyway). We have to economise on everything... water use, electric (battery bank) and so we use very little. To save our boat batteries we use little camping lanterns with LED bulbs in them... bright and power saving as much as we can. We only turn on the TV when watching it... otherwise it is completely turned off. Don't use hairdryers or electric heat (pretty inefficient on a boat). Use a whistle kettle on a gas stove with just enough water for our drinks (no more). Have a chemical toilet - wish it were a composting one (would be a good thing to have). Living on a boat makes you very aware of how easy it is to waste water or power... great for creating a "green" mind.

Good info, but I'd have thought that we should have to be saying some of these things now - like cooking with the lid on etc.
