It is not only plastic bags, Balloon's mostly let loose in the name of charities are doing so much harm to wildlife and the oceans, this year several young cows have been found choked on these balloons the nylon strings also cause much harm being entangled around birds feet and other animals, the balloons are at there most dangerous when nearly deflated, animals play with them then they get stuck in their throat.
Every week I will collect at least 10 -15 on my walks with my Dog, one morning I collected 29 entangled in bushes, Charities should not use them they should find a more environmentally friendly way to make a statement or collect funds by selling them for release - I see more balloons doing harm in my area than carrier bags.
