Petition signed, thanks for posting Cher! Horrendous, another sad, sad story! Isn't it enough that these poor dogs are ending their lives through no fault of their own without these hideous murderers showing no compassion to make sure that they are dead before being burnt alive, it's the least they can do to make sure they are dead - my god it makes me sick to my stomach! What has man become, I am so ashamed! It is us "mankind" who has created this "throw away" society and it's now these poor unwanted, unloved innocent creatures who are paying the price with their lives in such unspeakable horrific deaths. If only we took charged and neutered our animals then maybe there wouldn't be so many unwanted animals being destroyed! Also maybe this would help cut down on animal abuse and have a "knock on" affect in other animal cruelty/greed - who knows but something has to be done somewhere as animals cannot keep suffering because of us! It's so heartbreaking day after day to keep reading on Care2 about unspeakable cruelty towards animals - these are dumb animals who cannot speak out, so it is up to the rest of us to help them and to protect them before it too late - keep signing, in the end we will make a difference!

FROM CONSTANCE TODAY......

Hi ! I know you two have called, but I wanted to report that I was told that there would be no euthanization until a decision was made in two weeks. The assistant I spoke to at the 614-322-5260 number was particularly sympathetic and supportive (more so than the other number) and said she believed they would make the decision to ban gas chambers in Fairfield County in two weeks. I hope I am not being naive ! Thank you both for posting and encouraging people to call - I am so grateful I called ! And hope this is true !

My thanks to everyone, we are at 493 of 500 signatures, I just know we can do better than that.

Kathy C - thank you for sending me this alert and making me aware of this. I have called both numbers and so far today, I got very positive feed back. The question is do we have any one from Care2 that lives in or near Fairfield County, Ohio? If so is it possible that you could attend the County Commissioners meeting and write to local papers?

I will be sending an abbreviated version of this out to the local newspapers as well. In my past experience local papers have a limit of 150-250 words.
