Ramin trees are an internationally protected species and come from Indonesia's peat swamp forests, which are home to the endangered Sumatran tiger. Only 400 remain in the wild. Act with us: tell these companies to stop doing business with APP

Ramin trees are certified under appendix II of CITES. That means it can be used for commercial reasons under licence. More to the point, APP doesn't use ramin in its supply. Greenpeace uncovered a quarantined ramin store which the mill that supplies APP (not APP, please note) had created. The Ministry of Forestry dropped all charges against the mill (which had mentioned the ramin in its licence application) and stopped just short in its statement after its investigation of calling Greenpeace liars. This has got nothing to do with tigers. It's about setting up an FSC monopoly in Asia. If you don't know that is, you're probably not qualified to talk about this subject. Sorry. You need to do some more homework before you post stories like this one.
