List the desert tortoise as endangered, giving it full protection of the Endangered Species Act. Desert tortoise populations in some areas have declined by as much as 90% since the 1980s and the Mojove population is listed as threatened,

Signed and noted! It is a tough enough life in the desert, without having your habitat flattened and graded for solar farms, or your burrows crushed due to off road vehicles...

Noted and signed with comment: "Solar photovoltaic cells should be on buildings and not instead in the form of free-standing farms that waste land. They can be put on walls as well as rooftops. The angle may not be optimum but there is no need for any support structures or sun-tracking mechanisms, which would make them cheaper per unit area and low-maintenance. Humans should stop spreading into natural ecosystems since human activities already take up over 70% of the land."

I notice that my previous comment is worded wrongly but it is too late to change it on the actual petition now.

Noted and signed - what are we doing to our beloved earth and its creatures - killing off everything like there is no tomorrow - the sad thing is that there will be no tomorrow if we don't protect them now.
