Thanks for this petition Cher. I am the mom of a rescued blue macaw. She was in a cage for weeks, her wings cut to short and due to being in a cage her legs and claws are so deformed she has a hard time walking. So of course I carry her everywhere.:*). No animal should have to live in such horrible conditions just for the greed of man.
Gladly signed

Noted and Absolutely signed, thanks. My beautiful companion amazon was "wild caught". I was not told that she was right out of quarantine. She was so traumatized by the ordeal that she almost died. There is NO NEED
for the cruelty of Imports!

Not only do many birds die during capture and transit, many more die when ignorant owners make them live in a little metal cage and feed them nothing but sunflower seeds. Please stop the wild bird trade!

For every action there is a reaction. According to the law of karma, if we cause

pain and suffering to other living beings, we must endure pain and suffering in

return, both individually and collectively. We reap what we sow, in this life and

the next, for nature has her own justice. No one can escape the law of karma.

Couldn't sign this fast enough! This needs to stop, most of these beautiful birds die during the shipping and why for cotten picken sake don't people leave them in their home...they are already distroying that, let them live there until Mankind has ruined everything beautiful and special...they they can all play in the sand box together!

There need to be more enforcement officers in the field and fewer pen pushers. The same goes for CITES - too much talk and too little action.
