I will only buy eggs from free range chickens! Cage free is still penned, but, better than these cages! Free range is totally "free ranging" and the best alternative. None of these is great, these chickens are still an organic manufacturing plant and not always treat that well. There are some egg farmers, though, who really love the enterprise and really love their chickens. I try to buy from these people in my area - there are many - just go to an organic farm and you will see the chickens walking all over. Very healthy and "happy!"

Organic free range eggs look and taste better.

There are a lot of city peeps keeping chickens in their yards, that would be super fresh eggs!

Signed and noted, Thank you Cher.

Important for measures like this to raise the baseline. Whilst I'm sure most people on here wouldn't buy from the new standard this proposes (as it's still just larger and better cages) it makes the baseline higher and reduces the differential between sub standard and free range conditions.

For every action there is a reaction. According to the law of karma, if we cause

pain and suffering to other living beings, we must endure pain and suffering in

return, both individually and collectively. We reap what we sow, in this life and

the next, for nature has her own justice. No one can escape the law of karma.

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter if you by free range eggs or not. Free Range almost always are massive sheds with no cages, but thousands of birds crammed into a massive shed with few little holes to the outside world, but the hens do not use them to go outside, as they are territorial and don't like to cross other birds territory, so they won't go outside. THEN: in every egg business the males are useless to the business and the yellow, sweetie chicks get sexed, if they are male they go ALIVE through the SHREDDER or get suffocated in huge plastic bags and ground up as dog or cat food. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THIS CRUELTY IS NOT TO EAT EGGS AT ALL.

Noted but unable to sign as not US resident. Thanks for bringing awareness to this subject again Cher.
I hope regulations will work, as it gives a person that quizzie feeling when they think of eggs (and of course the hens and the baby chicks. It is horrendous what is done!
