You can help protect the Shoshone National Forest on the border of Yellowstone National Park by telling the U.S. Forest Service that some places are too wild to drill.

The destruction of 800,000 acres of this forest is HORRIFYING, and so the unwillingness of the Forest Service to designate many pristine areas for special protection. Noted and signed, thanks Cher.

Humankind has not woven the web of life.
We are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.
All things are bound together.
All things connect.
Chief Seattle, 1854
When all the trees have been cut down,
When all the animals have been hunted,
When all the waters are polluted,
When all the air is unsafe to breathe,
Only then will you discover
You cannot eat money.
Cree Prophecy
Treat the earth well.
It was not given to you by your parents,
it was loaned to you by your children.
We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors
We borrow it from our Children.
Ancient Indian Proverb
The price of anything is the amount of life exchanged for it.

Areas like the Shoshone National Forest are protected for a reason. If those protections are breached in the interest of making money (oh, excuse me, I mean, "for the public good", right?), then what is to keep anyone from devastating other nationally-sanctioned land for their own..I mean..."for the public good"? There have to be limits - solid limits - to protect what we can never replace once it is gone.
