A report released by PWC, which examines the progress of different countries in reducing their carbon footprint, shows that the world will have to reduce its carbon emission by 2050 to prevent global temperatures from rising more than 2 degrees this

Noted. I'm not seeing anything new in the sense that, the train has left the station. Global warming is real and we are causing it and making it worse. What I also don't see is a general sense of urgency on the part of most (Care2 members notwithstanding).

this is much like being in a car at 100 mph haeding towards a cliff in 100 m distance and saying "we might have to slow down in a mile or three"

All these studies that say, "by 2025, by 2035, by 2050", etc. are only a human guess~timate based on what we know. Since there are things we can't know, like what a Planet might do on her own, let's make positive changes Now! Help Mother Earth return to Balance.

Depends on how one defines "disaster." I feel that the disaster is well under way now.
