Please email KFC's Board of Directors and ask them to cut deforestation out of their supply chain and keep tiger forests standing in Indonesia.

Fast food,. is fast food for a reason. It is inexpensive and people like it.
It is high in calories and fat and requires no preparation.
Getting them to change their methods is extremely arduous, but, that doesn't preclude that we should stop trying.

Charlene Rush, just curious as to where you are getting the idea that there is NO preparation needed for fast food? Have you, personally, ever worked in a fast food restaurant? Of course there is preparation. It's done on many levels and much of it is prior to when a customer orders so that when the order IS made, little time is involved with filling it.

It also is irrelevant in the context that fast food requires deforestation anymore than any other product that needs packaging. Everything we buy comes in some kind of packaging. Often, it's heavy PLASTIC (bubble sealed) that is bulky, requires a chain saw to open and once opened, cann't be resealed re-packaged and the effect on landfills is enormous.

I live in a state where logging and the paper industries used to be KING. Now, logging is virtually non-existent and the mills have almost ALL shut down. Reason is complaints about the environment and while much of that was justified, a whole LOT was not! Example..............The Spotted Owl. Logging of old growth was prohibited to save this species. Okay, fine. Now, the Spotted Owl is making a huge COME-BACK, but also they are now facing issues because of BARRED OWLS, so the Dept. of Fish & Game is pondering shooting Barred Owls! Why is one species more important than another? If one species is more competitive than the other, seems humans need to keep their noses out of it.
