New Yorkers are fighting against the hydrofracking issue because of contamination of our water and the water of other states that are being subjected to the gas companies "blitz" on moving forward, without any precautions. Pennsylvania is already being hard hit by their rush into signing these contracts, as well as other states in the range of the marcellus shale deposits.

Why would any American, least of all a member of Congress, not suport clean water? Maybe ones that own water filtering systems. Many Americans including me try to filter out floride & clorine put in our water.

Signed. Also agree with other comments that why would anyone stop progress to clean water? How is that even logical? But then again, government is quite often illogical. It only does things when it benefits them or threatens their 'votes'.
