Although the idea of saving a species from extinction is a noble idea, I am just not sure about cloning animals or people for that matter. What are the long term ramifications? Will cloned animals be more resilient to disease or more likely to succumb? What is the reproductive success rate for clones animals? It seems to open up a whole can of worms as far as unknown side effects go. If it can be proven 100% successful with no harmful side effects and reproductive abilities are fully examined first than I might be swayed. Thanks Cher.

More often than not cloning ends up with deformed baby animals. This is not and never will be a good idea. Cloning is science gone insane.

I don't agree with species cloning.Let nature take its course with improved human positive interventions.
Thanks Cher

Oh for Cotten Picken Sake, if poachers and hunters didn't kill these beautiful and treasured creatures there would NOT be a need for this STUPID SOLUTION! Mankind again with the finger into everything and what is special and treasured, turns it into Muck! Higher Species, NOT!

As Paula noted, cloning often results in deformities. Brazil would be better off leaving their forests in place, strictly enforcing laws against clear-cutting and poaching, and stop making corrupt deals with corporate interests.
