Thank you ! Actions taken previously on this atrocious event.

Below is another action I received if anyone has the time.

" I believe the US Forest Service needs a push in requiring Gunhawk Firearms in Los Lunas to obtain a permit to hunt in New Mexico's 5 forests. Please call the Forest Service at 505-842-3292
or go to
and go to the "Contact Us" box and please ask the US Forest Service to require the Gunhawk Firearms Store in Los Lunas, NM to obtain a permit from the Forest Service for the a coyote killing contest in the forests of New Mexico that the Forest Service oversees and that the BLM has required a permit. Thank you for your help in finishing this contest. Although the BLM is not allowing the hunters on public lands, we need to ensure they are not allowed in the 5 forests, which would cause a great risk to hikers and others.

update to previous post on permits.

I JUST FOUND OUT THE FOREST SERVICE IS REQUIRING A PERMIT!! NO HUNTING IN THE FORESTS. The pledge drive worked! 1400 people contacted the Forest Service today, and the Forest Service has advised Gunhawk Firearms they are getting a letter requiring a permit. The remaining things are:

1. We need to get the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District (MRGCD) on board with a permit.

2. We have asked the Environmental Health Department in Santa Fe and Valencia Co, to discover for public safety and health reasons where the contest will take place, where they intend to bring the bodies, where they intend to store the bodies, and where they will dispose of the bodies.

3. Apparently no ranchers or cattlemen have come forward requesting these hunters kill coyotes on their private land.

So, it is a big question...where are they going to hunt since we have put up these roadblocks.

I will continue to keep you posted. Thank you all for all of the hard work you've been doing.

For every action there is a reaction. According to the law of karma, if we cause

pain and suffering to other living beings, we must endure pain and suffering in

return, both individually and collectively. We reap what we sow, in this life and

the next, for nature has her own justice. No one can escape the law of karma.
