On one hand, this sounds like a wonderful place: on the other hand it's sad it had to come down to this to save our rarest .

Kudos to all the people who give time to care for our world's animals.

I'm happy there are people who care for the animals, but why are they breeding the animals? There are plenty of big cats in private homes that need to go to a sanctuary. Didn't Ohio just pass a law about wild animal ownership?

I'm with Dianne D. on this one, why are they breeding the cats ? I was not impressed with what I saw or what I read in the article. Why are the babies taken from their mothers, why were the cheetahs wearing collars, why were the bobcats in a house and also wearing collars. They also want you to check out the babies on jimmy Kimmel and The Tonight Show and to check out another cats Superbowl commercial ? This doesn't sound like a safe haven to me, sounds alot like every other exotic animal backyard breeder who think they are helping conservation efforts when in reality they are stroking there own ego at the expense of the animals they say they care about.
Somebody tell me I'm wrong, please, too many horror stories out there to trust everything I read.

My property is a bird and wildlife sanctuary. Used to be full of domestic feral cats. with very few birds Doctor.22 fixed that situation. Now the wild ducks don't even take off when I get near them, the kangaroos and small wallabies ignore my presence to the point where I actually have to physically chase them away from the prohibited areas of my garden. Heather You remind me of my daughter saying of plants, and it applies to animals also. "A weed is a plant that is in the wrong environment." She was then the Chief Scientific Officer for endangered specie in our State.

A circus is no place for a lion or elephant, no more than it is so with many other animals such as domestic cats, and foxes, in the Australian Bush. We have a sad history of introduced animals ruining our countryside, from , none worse than the Cane Toads, but caries on to Starlings, Deer, Goats, Camels, Pigs , Cats, Foxes, and I guess all the way on on to Humans.

If they don't breed the cats what happens when the current residents die? Extinction. Okay, maybe it's not an ideal situation, but does anyone have a better plan?
