Presently there are many homes that are poorly insulated and because of this many families are using more gas and electricity than they should. It means that they are consuming a huge amount of energy which is throwing away a lot of money in energy.

Although this is in the talking stage, it is a step forward. One of England's biggest problems is homes attached homes that predate the war. They have no insulation behind their walls. The damp literally comes through the walls.

I now my house is not the most insulated house, but does one worry when you must not block the vents in case case of gas leaks? I would love to get rid of them, it's drafty.

Interesting concept. Do we in North America have the political will to make it work here? Of course with the majority of California; parts of Pennsylvania and other states on the verge of bankruptcy; not to mention the possible revoking of Detroit's city charter I doubt it.
