Where I live there are tons of Solar Panels up. The advantages are awesome, sadly, to cost to get into without money is hard....tried tons of ways.

The photo is of an "active" not "passive" solar house. friends who built passive solar homes have had horrible problems haeting and cooling and they live in GA!

Recently had a 3.5 kWh system installed and after several complications I now am in credit ( Electricity companies hate to credit money) But the rules will change in 4 years, I will get 8 cents/ kWh but have to buy my own electricity back for 28 cents at today's prices. But in 4 years it will still be 8 cents, but the government by then with the coal industrie in their bed will have doubled or trippled the price of electricity, and that is when I will shut my system down not even having had the opportunity to pay for my system. And I will do it when the time comes. I will be back where I started only having helped China, our rediculous Labor Government and big coal. I thought my footprint would turn greener, wrong, it actually stayed black, big coal and the government benefitted hugely, I lost.
