It is beyond me as to why this isbeing allowed to continue. Why aren't you people doing something about this? It is not as though this just happened. This poor tiger has been kept in these appalling conditions for far too long and it is both your duty and responsibility to free this tiger immediately to a safe and healthy sanctuary and to file criminal charges against Michael Sandlin. I implore you to do the right thing and show us that you are indeed capable of doing the job you are being paid to do and release Tony immediately.

it was stated in a previous petition that tony and the owner have 'bonded'. what utter b.s. tony needs to bond with his own kind. his living conditions are less than satisfactory. no wild animal should spend his life in a cage!!!!!!! the owner is keeping tony as profit, not because he has 'bonded' with him.

Tony needs to live his LIFE. Sandlin is using Tony, limiting all ability to have any normal experiences, a valuable life. The sanctuary life, especially one in OREGON, is such a huge contrast for tigers to the bleak, empty existence Tony is forced into where he is now. Please rescue him.

How exactly do you propose that a ten year old Tiger who has never once hunted for game being to live his life? In one of many very poorly run, small and filthy shelters for abused animals, or maybe one of the so-called sanctuaries that are less adequate than very poorly managed zoos, again with extremely cramped space? Tony has lived his life- whether any one likes it or not, in that one place. His space is much larger than most zoos, and he subjected to less torment than many so-called sanctuaries. Life is not perfect, Yvette, not for anyone.

BTW...humans began eating meat long before there was a bible or Judaism.

Noted and signed - it is so wrong of humans to want to keep animals like this in confinement - they need to be in the wild in their own natural habitat. Greed drives some to do these insane things.

Oh , am I glad with this petition after all the Sandlin propaganda yesterday.
I saw that 'good live' of Tony on videos a friend of me sent me very regularly the last, more than 2 1/2 years.
I see always a big cat that walked and walked along the bars. Left , right ,left ,right and than a few moments on that roof and than again and again that walking.
And than that noise from all the trucks , terrible.
What a stupid argument that the owner loves Tony and that they are bonded.
When I would captured a cat in a cage , I can say a million time that I love that cat but my behavior isn't like that.
And of course that cat is glad to see me. It's his only fixed point in his live of boredom and he also associate me with feeding, the highlight of the day.
In humans we call this the Stockholm syndrome. I think it is the same for animals.
Tony must go to a sanctuary. They wait for him since the court Judgment. Sandlin spread the lie that they are not ready for him . And also the lie that they will declawing him.
Happily signed and noted this petition , just as Roxy , Yvette , Naomi and a lot of others that will only the best for Tony and not for Sandlin.
Thank you Cher

Unless you want Tony to die, you will not sign this petition. All those who sign are advocating the possible death of Tony.

What makes any of you think you know more than Big Cat experts and the authorities? In my opinion you are acting selfishly, arrogantly, and with complete disregard for this magnificent creature. Unless you have more knowledge than the experts who regularly visit Tony, you should rethink your position from a place of informed knowledge, instead of personal agenda.

No, Tony's life is not perfect, but it is much better than many of his kind being kept in zoos and sanctuaries. For every video showing happy Big Cats in sanctuaries, there are more showing deplorable conditions. Think with your heads, not your hearts.

I agree with the statement you made Kit to a degree.
I believe by free they can only mean to a reserve or habitat.
It's much less perfect than anyone could expect, and the new Go nowhere generation is only stalling a solution because they are too pampered, and will settle for imperfection without caring about anyone but themselves,
They think keeping a tiger at a truck stop is interesting, and care nothing for the torture of a life that is his life.

'I forgot to mention, Tony's owner does not receive any monetary compensation from owning him. Viewing Tony in his relatively large habitat with his toys and swimming pool is FREE! '

Viewing Tony???

So you ARE saying he has him for a gimmick??

As far as I am concerned, if the owner cared for Tony as much as 'some' claim , then he would have Tony and his enclosure far far away from the truck stop!!!

It is a gimmick and I do wish some people would stop being so naive!!!!!

He should NOT have him in the first place.

TIGERS and Truckstops do NOT mix!!!

Totally agree with Cher
This is s an act totally contrary to nature, to keep a tiger just to get the trucks stop, this is the usual expedient of a domineering man who thinks he's "smart".
This is a forum for animal rights and the thought of all is for the total protection of animals and their habitats, I do not think that Toni receives from its state even one of these.
I lost the number of signatures to help Toni and I hope that the petitions can continue until Toni can be sent to a sanctuary for big cats.
Very happy to sign as I am sad to know that Toni is still locked, him is slave of man's violence.
Thank you so much Cher and Ruth for the fw

Carrie , do you want me please explain why Tony will die as he would going to a sanctuary ?
I see the connection apparently not.
I saw only a lot of videos that showed the moving first steps of big cats (from circuses or individuals) when they left their captivity and walked into a bigger area where they life for a while to learn to be a free animal , before they going to the area where they will live , the rest of their life. All fake ?
And why should anyone of us advocating the possible death of Tony ? Are we such monsters ?
I do not really follow your thought. Even if you are right , and Tony will not life so long in a sanctuary as he possible can live in imprisonment behind bars , don't you think he prefer to life, that time of his live, in an area were he can run , where he can be what he is , a wild animal , where is fresh air and silence , instead of , left -right walking behind the bars , the rest of his long live ?
That you mention that other animals are living in worse circumstances than Tony is a sophism.
Such a statement helps neither Tony nor the other animals.
A lot of tigers life a lot better live than Tony.
Certenly in sanctuaries.
