The Dhodiyal Pheasantry in Hazara welcomed two new additions to its animal family, when it was announced on Tuesday that a female leopard gave birth to two cubs.

Awesome news. I hope they get their place in the wild. Where the heck are these cats supposed to go and what remains of their food source since they were attacking cattle? It's a sad time when wild animals have no room in the wild and no wilderness that is their own.

Why are they being held at a pheasantry? It's an odd place to keep leopards. Are they going to release them in another area when the cubs are a bit older?

The cats should be in a breeding program. What else would you do? Put them in a parking lot? If cattle are invading the cats' habitat (along with people AND POACHERS)....the only safe place is somewhere that their genes can be passed on.
