Apparently they can also be toxic with chemicals that shouldn't be worn next to the skin!

If you really want to be conscious and responsible in your apparel or jeans then all these companies should switch to hemp. Cotton is one of the worst crops grown for water use; insecticides and fertilizers and for leaching nutrients out of the soil.
