Where does the 2,661 dead deer figure come from? Is that the take over a number of years? Why are the deer considered tame and trusting when they have apparently been hunted for some years? They must have a serious deer overpopulation problem if they are allowing hunting in a State park. I can understand people being upset over hunting in the park ( our local State park allows only waterfowl hunting) but maybe it is not possible to hunt enough of them outside the park to keep their numbers in check.
