87 puppies including French Bulldogs, West Highland Terriers and Pomeranians were seized. A man and a woman were arrested but later released on bail.
***'Bail? They deserve bail? I don't think so.

Kit, until more people think like we do, they will not be heavily punished by the "laws of men"
I am surprised they got arrested .
Internet puppy sales are incredibly suspicious and should be scrutinized by the buyers, have learned this the hard way by purchasing a sick dog that died at 2 of an inoperable brain tumor, all of the 15 pups from the litter died,3 or at
birth, and the rest suffered for a year or 2 before dying. They were charging 1000 dollars per pup, internet predators, luckily the state had a puppy lemon law,and I emailed the attorney general, got my money back and the predators shut down ,but no real "punishment"...

What a story. These beautiful breeds are to suffer, and the word bail came up? On what grounds?

I cannot believe they give bail to people who do this, its just not right. Lots and lots of jail time, w/ huge fines when they come out, should help them remember what they did wrong.
These dogs are defenseless animals. we are their voices. Well lets keep speaking up. Any idea's I open to one. It seems all these petitions we sign are not doing the job.

Those who breed dogs for profit are truly despicable, lazy layabouts. But until the laws get truly harsh, this will continue.

Make them pay for any vet expenses for the puppies.
Make them pay for food for the puppies until they're adopted.
Throw them in jail for animal neglect and forbid them to ever own dogs again.

I like janet f. 's ideas, there would be some restitution involved.

We have to stop the breeding and sale of animals for profit. If there is money involved, there will be heartless people in the business. Start making breeders responsible and have to take the pet back, no matter how old or sick it is. Make people who breed animals take responsibility for their actions.
