Ask EPA to Ban Cruel Rodent Poisons ! PLEASE TAKE ACTION ! !

While we applaud all steps taken to restrict the sale of these products, a complete ban is needed to ensure the safety of animals and humans. Please politely urge EPA officials to ban the sale of rodenticides entirely

According to news reports, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is considering restricting the use of "second generation" rodenticides—cruel, notorious poisons and indiscriminate killers—by banning their sale to individuals. Unfortunately, the products would remain commercially available and packaged inside bait stations. Manufactured and sold to kill unwanted rats and mice, animals who consume the poisoned bait suffer diarrhea, vomiting, convulsions, and a slow, agonizing death that can take more than 24 hours. These toxins fail to break down quickly, so companion dogs and cats and wild animals such as hawks, owls, and foxes who consume the bodies of poisoned animals also suffer immeasurably—and often fatally. Rodenticides also pose grave risks to curious, unsuspecting children. Your voice is needed
